Workshops and classes

If your idea of fun is more about getting involved with something rather than watching from a distance, get right into the thick of things by booking into on of Portsmouth’s top workshops and classes.

There’s a huge variety on offer, so you’re sure to find something that matches your taste. How about painting, printing or weaving at the Hotwalls Studios? Here you can learn from the resident designer-makers what goes into their marvellous creations, before having a go yourself. What’s more, you get to take home your creation at the end!

Elsewhere, there are a number of paint-along events, where professional instructors guide you through a painting – which you’re free to copy entirely or use as inspiration to go off the beaten track. If that didn’t sound appealing enough, many of these events take place at pubs and bars, so you can even have a glass or two of something you like whilst you paint!
