The 60+ Festival (supported by Victorious Festival) returns to Portsmouth for 2021, with a whole host of events suitable for all abilities and interests.

Whether you want to join a new community, keep fit, attend a talk or get creative, there is certain to be something for you. A lot of events are free of charge and for many you can just turn up on the day without booking.

Monday 4 October

Travel and Landscape photography and mobile editing for phones and cameras
Do you enjoy traveling and days out? Would you like tips and tricks in how to achieve great photos using your phone or digital camera? Together we will look at landscape photography basics and how to edit ‘wow’ images using a smart phone in a few clicks of a button.

Walking Netball
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game we all love; it is netball, but at a walking pace. Women the length of the country have started playing Walking Netball for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer.

The Over 50's Group
The Over 50’s group is a social sports group who play badminton, table tennis and short tennis every Monday. Prior to the session, participants are welcome from 12:15 to purchase a coffee in the café and meet the group.

Learn how to paint loose watercolour flowers
An introduction to watercolour painting, by the end of the session you will learn different techniques to achieve visually loose and expressive watercolour flowers. For this session you will need watercolour paints, watercolour paper, brushes, water pots x2, paper towel.

Southsea Green Open Garden
Come and visit our lovely peaceful community garden with plenty of wildlife, and find out about our weekly gardening club where we meet to share gardening hints and tips, and have a chat over a cuppa or two. As this is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately for the weather.

James Roseveare Art Exhibit
Informed by over 35 years in arboriculture, artist James Roseveare has a particular insight into working with form, function and the powerful processes of how things change over time. Bedsores: what are they and how can we reduce the risk
This session, which is open to all, will look at what bedsores (also known as pressure ulcers) are, what causes them and how we might reduce the risk of them developing. We will also discuss our research project, which will involve patients and carers in designing a toolkit of resources to help prevent bedsores.

Walking tour around the allotments at Milton Piece, Hope Cottage and Eastney Lake. Seeing Flora and Fauna on individual plots and in the community gardens.
