Urban Island Brewing Co. was founded in 2014, and has since gone on to be named Brewery of the Year by the Portsmouth & South East Hampshire CAMRA twice in a row (2019 and 2020).

The team behind Urban Island is as passionate about brewing beer as they are drinking it. This has led them to create a whole range of innovative, quality, modern craft beers - using both traditional and new brewing methods with only the finest malt, hops and yeast.

Whether you are a seasoned craft drinker or just trying something new and different, you can be sure that Urban Island has worked hard to produce full flavoured, balanced and creative beers that are certain to excite.

Urban Island beers can be found in pubs across the city, or you can head directly to the tap house to try them right where they're brewed. The Urban Tap is its on-site taproom, just a short walk from Hilsea train station. You can also hire out the taproom for a private event or function.

The team also runs brewery tours - which includes all-important samples of the beer range.
