About
Portsmouth Film Society will mark the second anniversary of Southsea Cinema & Arts Centre with a paella party and live blues night, followed by an exhilarating film quiz.
Taking place on Sunday 19 May, the evening will feature live music from Hampshire's own Rob Johnston, who has been writing, performing and recording his unique style of instrumental guitar music and songs for many years - taking in arts centres, clubs and major acoustic and folk festivals along the way. He has played live on BBC Radio several times and has received impressive reviews for his work. Currently he is duetting with the skilled and versatile percussionist Tim Gower from Portsmouth.
The evening will also feature a film quiz so be sure to take along all the cinema buffs you know for the best chance of winning!
Southsea Cinema has a predominantly volunteer-driven team who work tirelessly to elevate the centre's service, exhibition, and educational programs.
Portsmouth Film Society wishes to thank the esteemed organizations and groups that have graced the venue over its first two years:
