Learn how to draw Vlad the Flea, narrator of the 'Flea in History' books. Artist Sam Cunningham will take you step-by-step through creating the cheeky character, along with members of the crew of rats and his nemesis, Hatch the dog.

Sam is the illustrator of 'Captain Vlad and the Mary Rose' and has been longlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2025.

Kate and Sam Cunningham will be also be signing copies of Captain Vlad and the Mary Rose, where you can get a sketch, personalised dedication and ask about the ideas and inspiration behind the story.

Sessions take place at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm.

This event is included with a valid Mary Rose Museum ticket - including the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Ultimate Explorer!
