Baby Squids Portsmouth offers swimming lessons to children from birth up to four years old, before they go to school.

The Royal Maritime Club swimming pool is conveniently located in central Portsmouth, a few minutes walk from Gunwharf Quays. The site is modern, with the pool having been redesigned and refurbished in 2017. There is some free parking available in front of and to the side of the club.

It is a warm water pool heated to 32 degrees. Therefore no wetsuits are required and it's suitable from birth. The pool has a depth of 1.3 metres and is easily accessed by steps.

Facilities also include two changing rooms, with showers, for males and females - as well as a changing table. There are chairs on poolside too for grandparents and other spectators and a great cafe upstairs too!
