About

Join the Mary Rose Museum for a fascinating talk of Tudor intrigue and splendour as historian Melita Thomas, recently seen on BBC2's Lucy Worsley Investigates, shares her insights into Tudor people from all walks of life.

Characters she will introduce from her acclaimed book '1,000 Tudor People' include soldiers and sailors, merchants and minstrels, alchemists and adventurers. The crew of the Mary Rose contained a cross section of people from Tudor society, from the wealthy and educated to skilled working men. Many of the insights that Melita will offer will help add to the crew's stories and life on board.

Guest speaker Melita has a masters in historical research from the University of London. In 2014 Melita co-founded Tudor Times; an online repository of information about the Tudors and Stuarts.
