About
Established in 1988 as a family business, André’s Food Bar is Southsea’s oldest independent sandwich shop. It has been successfully feeding the city for over 28 years and is the place to go for the freshest filled baguettes, croissants, salads, jacket potatoes, hot drinks and delicious tempting treats.
The shop is now being run by the next generation. André, the family’s oldest son, has worked in the business since he could barely see over the counter, so it’s fair to say he knows his bagels from his baguettes! He’s also the guardian of its many secret recipes, including the famous garlic chicken, the jalapeño quiche and Andre's special home-made mayo. He can still be found working in the shop most days so be sure to pop in and say hello!
Whether you want a naughty nibble with your morning coffee, or something on the side with one of Andre's freshly prepared baguettes or homemade salads for lunch, they’ve got it covered.
Andre's is all about simple, fuss free, fresh food made while you wait, just the way you like.
