The National Children's Orchestras performs at Portsmouth Guildhall

About

Join the amazing 11 and 12-year olds of NCO (National Children's Orchestras) as they present to you their Spellbound programme, featuring well known orchestral music like Modest Mussorsgsky's Night on Bald Mountain and Camille Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre, alongside music from Captain Marvel, How to Train Your Dragon and Princess Monoke and Kiki's Delivery Service.

You'll hear directly from NCO's young musicians as they share what this music, and being part of NCO, means to them.

It's also this orchestra's final performance this year with NCO, following their summer residential of rehearsals, creative sessions and more.

You can expect a warm, welcoming audience and to be dazzled and inspired by really remarkable young musicians.

Conducted by Caroline Hobbs-Smith, their full programme will include:
Modest Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain
Georges Bizet's Carmen Suite 1: Prelude, Aragonaise, Intermezzo and Toreadors
Camille Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre
Alan Menken's Beauty and the Beast Overture Arr. Kosarin
Joe Hisaishi's Princess Monoke and Kiki's Delivery Service
Pinar Toprak's Captain Marvel arr. Tormod Tvete Vik
John Powell's How to Train Your Dragon
Kalus Badelt's Pirates of the Caribbean arr. Ted Ricketts

NCO's concerts are for everyone. Join the group to appreciate the sheer joy and energy that can be experienced nowhere else than in the presence of a wonderful children's orchestra and be part of supporting the next generation of musicians.
