About
The Host Coworking Space (situated inside one of Portsmouth's oldest buildings) is a unique and quirky place for home workers to take a break from their own stuffy studies and come to a different, cosy workspace for a bit of peace a quiet, plus some great coffee and WiFi.
Visit for a few worthwhile hours or settle in for the whole day - either way, you can have your most productive day.
The space is there for those who want an oasis in their working week. A change of scenery and ridding yourself of the distractions of home and formalities of an office could be just what your to-do-list needs.
A two-hour pass is just £5, or get whole-day access for only £7 including unlimited tea, coffee and WiFi! Simply reserve your space through the website and pay in person (by card) when you're there.
The Host Space sits within the walls of St Luke's Church and makes quite a feature of its striking architecture. If you have ever wanted to read your book or do your finances whilst gazing at an impressive organ, then this is the place for you.
Recently, the hundred and fifty-year-old pews were re-fashioned into large collaboration desks by local craftsmen from The Makers Guild, and they look more at home in the space than the original pews did! Pop by and see it for yourself.
This coworking space was set up to provide a usable place for home-workers who are feeling a little lonely and those in need of a healthy work environment. The team loves to encourage individuals in all their adventures, and especially want to hear about people's working journeys and how they can be helped. If you need three different types of coffee to get you going or can only think if you are sat on a yellow cushion...they want to know!
The people of St Luke's Church support The Host Space in many ways, as a way of loving the community and seeing new people feel comfortable taking a step inside a church building - even for the reason of work. The Host Space is incredibly thankful to St Luke's Church for providing such a fabulous building and is excited to see how this collaboration develops in the next few years.
