Join The D-Day Story for a day activities to mark 80 years since Victory in Europe (8th May).
2025 is 80 years since the end of the Second World War, with Victory in Europe Day, as well as Victory over Japan Day on 15th August.
In the morning the museum will be hosting Portsmouth-based singer Nathalie Gunn who will sing songs from the 1930s and 1940s.
Then, in the afternoon visitors can learn how to swing dance - in particular the Lindy Hop - with The Swing Dance Company. There will be dance lessons, as well as a performance to watch the professionals at work.
The D-Day Story’s military jeep will be on site and there will be a number of craft activities for children, including paper crafts to make flowers, pinwheels and bunting.
The event is included in the museum admission price, with annual pass holders being able to experience it for free.
