About
In the autumn of 2006, Scottish indie-rockers The Fratellis burst onto the scene with their blistering debut album, 'Costello Music'. Filled to the brim with catchy riffs and brash vocals, the record featured some of the band's most enduring tracks, including the cheeky 'Henrietta', the slightly softer 'Whistle for the Choir', and the iconic 'Chelsea Dagger'.
Now, almost two decades on, The Fratellis have announced their plans to take 'Costello Music' back out on the road. After a run of festival slots, including a performance on the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury, the band celebrates the 20-year anniversary of their debut record with an extensive UK tour.
Since introducing themselves with 'Costello Music' in the late 2000s, The Fratellis have continually reasserted themselves as a staple act in British guitar music, winning over new generations of fans who have bolstered their live presence. The band now have six full-length studio records to their name, with the latest, 'Drunk Under a Full Moon', arriving in 2021.
Pairing the stomping singalongs for which The Fratellis first found fame with lush songs steeped in brass and strings, the record was a treasure trove of excess, earning the band a top-three chart position in their home country as well as praise from the likes of Gigwise and Riff Magazine. A deluxe version of the record arrived in 2022, featuring eight unheard tracks.
Now, The Fratellis are looking a little further back in their career, celebrating the album that kickstarted it all as they prepare to take 'Costello Music' back out on the road.
