The Square Tower is located at the corner of the High Street and Broad Street in Old Portsmouth and is among the earliest stone fortifications built in Portsmouth. Together with the Round Tower, the adjacent sea-wall and the Saluting Platform, the Tower is the only part of the Tudor works to survive. In more recent times, the Tower has offered a beautiful historic backdrop for a range of celebrations and events; from weddings to parties, and from corporate events to music and drama performances. A family-run venue with over 15 years’ experience, the Tower offers a truly complete service from a very experienced team.

Weddings at the Square Tower

The Square Tower offers a range of options to aim to meet your requirements for your big day.

Ceremony-only bookings: If you are looking to host your ceremony with the Tower there are two options available; the Upper Hall seats up to 80 guests and the Lower Hall up to 100. Two-hour exclusive-use slot are offered, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy the Tower before moving onto your evening reception venue.

All-day bookings: If you are looking to hire the venue for the whole day to host your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception until 11pm, the Square Tower can provide a personalised and flexible option, with the team on hand to help you plan your day.
