Portsmouth Cathedral will mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day with a special Sunday Worship Service broadcast live on BBC Radio 4.

Taking place at 8.10am on Sunday 2 June, the service will begin the week-long commemoration in Portsmouth of D-Day 80, ‘The Day that Changed the World’.

There will be contributions at the service from Lord Dannatt and Nicholas Witchell on the new British Normandy Memorial. It will be led by Canon Dr Jo Spreadbury (Precentor) with the Portsmouth Cathedral Choir. The preacher is the Very Revd Dr Anthony Cane, Dean of Portsmouth.
