Established in 1988 as a family business, André’s Food Bar is Portsmouth’s oldest independent sandwich shop. It has been successfully feeding the city for over 35 years and is the place to go for the freshest filled baguettes, croissants, salads, jacket potatoes, hot drinks and delicious tempting treats. Since first starting out, Andre's has expanded to a total of three locations throughout the city, with branches in Southsea, Portsmouth City Centre and Drayton.

André’s many secret family recipes are very much the talk of the town. Walk down any street in the city and we guarantee you’ll find someone who has tried, and loved, their homemade quiches, homemade mayonnaise or of course their legendary homemade garlic chicken!

With a genuine passion for serving delicious, fresh food, made just the way you like it, they are also very proud to be Portsmouth and Southsea’s oldest independent sandwich shops. But that’s not all they’ve also racked up a few local and national awards along the way too!
