Portsmouth City Museum opens 'Football in the City'

A fantastic new permanent exhibition dedicated to the city's football history has opened at Portsmouth City Museum. The stories and experiences of players and supporters were used to help tell the story of this great sport, through audio-visual and objects lent to the museum. But this is no ordinary gallery exhibition; you come along and try your hand at a game of table football, take part in the Pompey quiz, use the video blogging area, or interactive video system allowing you to record your football memories and stories, or just spend some time enjoying the football treasures both past and present. Fans of all ages will love this regularly changing exhibition. Don’t miss your opportunity to see for the first time side by side, both footballs from the 1939 and 2008 FA Cup Finals. City museum is definitely worth a visit this winter, and best of all it is FREE!
