How business can get Involved in Portsmouth 100

Portsmouth100 is our city’s year-long centenary celebration, shining a spotlight on everything that makes Portsmouth unique, including the amazing products and services created by our business community. We’re inviting local companies, makers and producers to get involved by developing Portsmouth-themed items, limited edition lines, special events, or unique experiences to help mark this milestone year.

If you’re planning a Portsmouth100 product or initiative, we’d love to hear from you. Sharing your plans helps us promote the breadth of local activity and celebrate your contribution.

Please note while Portsmouth City Council welcomes businesses supporting Portsmouth100, the Council cannot endorse or approve any products or services created in connection with the programme. Businesses are solely responsible for ensuring that any products or services they produce meet all relevant legal, regulatory and safety requirements.

Fairtrade Foundation x Portsmouth100

Fairtrade Foundation poster image with the tagline: We sell Fairtrade products herePortsmouth City Council is encouraging local businesses to take part in a new Fairtrade initiative celebrating the city’s centenary year. As part of Portsmouth100, the Portsmouth Fairtrade Forum is aiming to highlight 100 local businesses that actively support Fairtrade by selling or serving at least two Fairtrade items.

Portsmouth is proud to hold Fairtrade Community status, and the council continues to support efforts that champion ethical, sustainable choices across the city.

The Portsmouth100 campaign offers a simple way for cafes, restaurants, retailers and service providers of all sizes to show their commitment to Fairtrade, whether they already offer Fairtrade tea, coffee, sugar, chocolate, clothing or crafts, or are looking to introduce new Fairtrade-certified options.

Participating businesses will receive a Portsmouth100 Fairtrade certificate and a window sticker to display throughout the centenary year, showcasing their support to customers, visitors and the wider community.
