Flyer for Gatsby at the Groundlings Theatre, with the tagline: "The honour would be entirely mine if you would attend my little party."

About

The Groundlings Theatre Trust presents Gatsby, a sizzling new adaptation of the era-defining book by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Step back into the heart-racing 1920s, an era part elegance and part decadence. Amid the sharp suits and flapper dresses you'll join young bachelor Nick Carraway, a new resident to West Egg, who is invited to an extravagant party in a Long Island mansion by the flamboyant host, Jay Gatsby; a self-made, self-invented millionaire with a mysterious past. As the two strike up an unlikely friendship, a cocktail soaked story of memory, money and lost love unfolds.

In a sizzling new adaptation filled with excitement and intrigue, you'll be able to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and feel of America’s ‘Roaring Twenties’. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece is a brilliant but timely evocation of a society obsessed with wealth and status.

Playing the enigmatic Jay Gatsby is the charismatic and charming Joseph Scatley, who is sure to captivate you as the mysterious host of lavish parties and keeper of hidden desires.

Stepping into the role of Daisy Buchanan is April Singley. With elegance and grace, April embodies Daisy's allure and complexity, taking you on a journey through love, longing, and betrayal.
