Virtual Tour of the Overlord Embroidery
Take part in a free virtual tour of the Overlord Embroidery, presented by Tracy Teasdale, Learning Officer with Portsmouth Museums and author of the new guidebook for the embroidery.
The Overlord Embroidery tells the story of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy in 34 extraordinary panels, with a total length of 83 metres. Designed by artist Sandra Lawrence, it was hand-stitched by the Royal School of Needlework.
The embroidery was commissioned by Lord Dulverton to commemorate the sacrifice of those who took part in D-Day and is on permanent display at the museum.
The tour will be shown on The D-Day Story Facebook page.
