The Kings Theatre is celebrating being able to fill up with people once again, and wants you to join the party as it throws open the doors for loads of free events, tours, workshops and activities on Tuesday 3 August.
Tickets can be booked in advance but will also be available on the door - drop in any time from 10am-3.30pm (doors close at 4pm). You can then sign up for our hour-long tours when you arrive – these are available on a first come, first served basis.

Tech workshop
The theatre's Technical Team is standing by to show you how sound, lighting and special effects combine to create incredible shows.
Archive display
Hear from expert archivists about some of the treasures of the theatre.
Craft and colouring activities
There's a family panto ticket to be won - complete and return the colouring sheet to enter!
Treasure trail
Find the rats and the hidden treasures. Claim your goody bags at the Matcham Bar.
Language of the fan
Learn how the original Kings Theatre audiences communicated from the boxes.
Guess how many magic beans competition
Guess the correct amount of magic beans and win a prize!
Face painting
Transform into your favourite animals/ characters! Fee payable directly to the face painter.

Kings Theatre CEO Paul Woolf will be available to welcome you back to the theatre and answer your questions.
Live music
Relax to some chilled tunes while enjoying your refreshments
There will be a buggy park provided alongside Stalls Entrance B on Albert Road, please ask staff at the Box Office if you need to use this service.
Free tea and coffee is available throughout the day in the Dress Circle & Matcham Bar, other refreshments and merchandise will be available to buy.
