Meet Gregory the goat and his friends at a mobile petting farm heading to Fort Nelson this February half term.
Farm at the Fort takes place Monday 12 to Saturday 17 February, with a mixture of animals and birds - including pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and a donkey.
Children will be able to meet the animals from the Mill Cottage Farm Experience, then enjoy farm-themed craft activities and free face painting.
Younger visitors will also be able to explore the 19-acre Victorian fort with the fun farm trail, which is available from Saturday 10 to Sunday 18 February.
Fort Nelson was a farm back in the 1930s under the ownership of William John Tattershall, so this event is a nod back to the fort’s past.
Tickets need to be booked in advance online at royalarmouries.org as capacity is limited due to the site's small car park.
Fort Nelson is home to the Royal Armouries national collection of artillery so visitors will also be able to discover the collection during their visit. The café will be open throughout for snacks and light refreshments.
Free entry. Parking £3 per vehicle.
