The exhibition is free, but advance booking is advised.
See the startling photography of Levon Biss, which reveals the astonishing and stunning detailed form of insects with breathtaking clarity, at a new exhibition in Gosport Gallery.
The images, created in collaboration with Oxford University Museum of Natural History, present insect specimens as never before, using large-format photographic prints to expose their beauty at microscopic levels. Combining art with science, the images let visitors view the subjects up close, to discover more about these fascinating creatures through their shape, colour and sculptural forms.
Alongside the exquisite photographs will be a rare opportunity to view a select display of insects from the outstanding collections cared for by Hampshire Cultural Trust . With our planet the subject of much current debate, go along and find out why the survival of insects and protection of our ecosystems are more vital now than ever.
