Once we have selected our incredible artists to transform the lion sculptures into bold, beautiful works of art we will introduce them and their work!
An event is being planned for February at Aspex Portsmouth, where you'll be able to meet the artists and find out about their process.
We expect each artist to brings their own unique style, story, and creativity to the trail — turning every lion into a masterpiece that celebrates the spirit of Portsmouth.
The lion that you can see on these pages is 'Leonardo da Pompey' by Louise Braithwaite - aka Mad Lou Publishing, one of the Hotwalls Studios artists. Leo is the first lion of the trail and you can see more of Louise's work on her website.
