Become a Visit Portsmouth Champion!

Portsmouth is a great city for tourism, with a packed calendar of events and a whole host of world-class attractions. We in Portsmouth know this, but we want to make sure our visitors do too. That's why we've created the Visit Portsmouth Champions programme, to ensure everyone working or volunteering in a customer-facing role across the city is equipped with all the information they need to answer all manner of visitor queries. It's hoped this will help not only boost the tourism offer in the city, but also turn everyone who works with our visitors to become bona fide Portsmouth Champions.

Training on the Visit Portsmouth Champions module is completely free and can be undertaken by anyone - simply visit portsmouthchampions.co.uk to sign up. There are two modules - the first is on the customer service basics and the second covers all things Portsmouth. There's a short quiz at the end of each module that goes over everything you'll have learned.

At the official launch of the Visit Portsmouth Champions course, Cllr Donna Jones, said: "We are offering the new online training course so staff are better skilled when selling the destination of Portsmouth. Not will this provide a better customer experience to our visitors but it will also help cross-promote attractions so they enjoy more of what the city has to offer during the time they are here."
