A mass skipping event raising funds for Sports Relief 2010.
To raise money for Sports Relief a group of local school children will be taking part in two sessions of skipping challenges in the square. This will culminate in a mass skip at the end of each session. Come and join us and have a go at skipping!
The event will be based around a new initiative for children called ‘Skip2bfit’ which aims to promote, develop and implement quality skipping and fitness programmes in association with youth organisations into the education and voluntary sector. Every skipping rope has a digital display which counts the number of skips done.
Members of the public are invited to join in the fun!
There will be demonstrations and coaching from Skip2bfit’s John McCormack, an appearance from a giant Blueberry. Sainsbury's will also be coming down and selling Sports Relief merchandise. So why not come along, bring some money and support them by raising money for Sports Relief.
This is a free event, everyone is welcome.
