Live at the Bandstand

The finale of this year’s Live at the Bandstand will go with a bang as Portsmouth City Council are holding an evening event on Castle Field that will finish with a firework display from the Castle ramparts.

Instead of an afternoon event at the Bandstand the finale will take place on Castle Field and will see performances from 3 fantastic local bands: Kojak’s Revenge, who will be playing a range of favourite sixties beat combos, Glam, Punk, Rock, Pop, New Wave, Ska, Funk and Britpop, right up to today’s cutting edge sounds.
Kojak’s Revenge will be supported by The Hype, an upcoming band from Portsmouth with punchy mod/retro guitar riffs, and well dressed members. The evening will start with a set from Indie rock band, Coburg’s Widow.
The music will begin at 6pm and ends at 9.30pm when it will be followed by a fabulous firework display from local company Pyro-tec.

There is a covered stage so even if it rains the event will go ahead.

There will be bar on site selling real ale and Pimms.

Please note that BBQs will not be permitted on site during the event.

In order to set up the firework zone, the Castle ramparts will be fenced off during the day and the promenade will be closed during the firework display.
