Portsmouth City Council's annual fireworks display will take place at King George V playing fields, in Cosham, on Wednesday 5 November.

The free event will open at 4pm where there will be a children's funfair (under 12s only) as well as a variety of food outlets. From 6pm there will be live music and entertainment.

The spectacular fireworks display will take place from 7.30pm. The display, funded by the council, and supported by sponsors Stagecoach and My Journey, is expected to attract many thousands of people.

Selstar Fireworks will be providing the fireworks which will include fountains, waterfalls, Catherine wheels, shells and many more to light up the city skyline.

Visitors are asked not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers to the display.
