Hovertravel Open Day

On Thursday 1st November, we are holding our second ever Hover Open Day at our Southsea Terminal with briefings from pilots & engineers, guided tours of the craft and special 20 minute tours of the Solent.

Due to the success of the first ever open day we will now holding our second Hover Open Day on Thursday 1st November. The day will consist of briefings from Pilots and Engineers, guided tours of the craft and a special 20 minute pleasure trip on the Solent. This is a unique chance to see behind the scenes at Hovertravel and to understand how our operation works.

The session for the Open Day is at:

13.45pm finishing at approximately 15.30pm

Seats are very limited so book now to avoid disappointment!!

The itinerary for the sessions is below:
1) 'Meet the Pilot' on the craft - Introduction to Hovertravel, Brief History of Hovertravel, Question & Answer session plus the chance to collect a free 40th anniversary booklet
2) A 20 minute pleasure ride on the hovercraft
3) An opportunity to take a photo with the Pilot & Engineer
4) Opportunity to purchase Hovertravel Souvenirs & take a look at the mini-museum display
5) External tour of the Hovercraft with an Engineer, followed by a further Q&A session.

With every ticket purchase, you will be entered into the 'Golden Ticket Raffle' where the winner will receive a Flight Deck Experience during the 20 minute pleasure trip.

Prices

From Southsea: £18 per adult, £12 per child

From Ryde: £23 per adult, £17 per child (includes day return from Ryde to Southsea)

How to Book

To book your tickets, call our Hovertravel terminals on 08434 87 88 87 or alternatively visit our terminals where our staff will be able to book you on the open day.

Terms and Conditions

Tickets are non refundable and non transferable. Children are aged between 5-15 years of age. Customers visiting from the Island must purchase a day return ticket unless they already have their travel ticket. We are unable to use the wheelchair lift throughout the open day sessions due to health and safety. Mobility scooters are not accepted on the Open Day. Payment must be taken at time of booking.
