Use Signal Flags and Semaphore to spell your name and send messages from ship to shore.
Become a secret agent, make a spy gadget and send coded messages to your family and friends.

Salty Sea science
at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
Come along to our lab and have a go at some surprising sea science! Discover how sea creatures have inspired the navy, how ships float and lenses work, make a crazy kaleidoscope and lots, lots more!

HMS Victory’s Baltic blockade
at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
Brrrrrrrr! Join us to discover all about HMS Victory’s years in the Baltic. Find out what life was like for the sailors, discover which Baltic materials were used on Victory and create a new artefact to take home inspired by the frozen seas.

Sea Life Roadshow
with the National Museum of the Royal Navy at St Francis Church Hall, Leigh Park, Havant
Join us for a free family event at St Francis Church Hall, Leigh Park. Funded by Find your Talent (PUSH), Making Space and the National Museum of the Royal Navy are taking to the road to bring to you a fun-filled day of craft, storytelling, object-handling, dressing up and lots of other exciting things to see and do. All completely free and on your doorstep!

Hidden Histories – a century of collecting
at the National Museum of the Royal Navy
Get closer to the collections in these sessions to discover some of the fascinating stories behind a century of collecting at the museum. Join the museum’s specialist staff as they give you a unique opportunity to see, hear and even handle selected items from their collections.
All sessions commence at 2.30pm.

at the National Museum of the Royal Navy with Matthew Sheldon
For everyone interested in embroidery and textiles, this afternoon will give you the unique opportunity to view the museum’s collection and discover the stories behind the pieces. Including wool works created by sailors from the 1800s onwards, embroidery from Lady Hamilton’s dress and a flag captured from a slave ship, the afternoon is guaranteed to fascinate
