Eastney Beam Engine House

Eastney Beam Engine

Type: Museum

Eastney Beam Engine House contains a pair of James Watt beam engines and reciprocal pumps restored to their 1887 condition. The engine house is open the last full weekend of every month (excluding December 2011). Next opening dates below.

Eastney Beam Engine House's main attraction is a pair of magnificent James Watt beam engines, steamed when the museum is open, housed in their original high Victorian engine house of 1887.

A variety of other pumping engines, many in running order, are also on display.

Please call ahead to check opening times and when the engine house is in steam or check our 'Whats On' pages for events listings.
