Harbour Tours
Portsmouth is still the home of the modern Royal Navy. Britain’s three aircraft carriers, HMS Ark Royal, HMS Illustrious and HMS Invincible are based here, as well as a fleet of destroyers, frigates, mine warfare ships and offshore patrol vessels.
A Harbour Tour takes 45 minutes and enables visitors to enjoy fascinating views across the harbour whilst listening to a lively commentary.
Please note that Harbour Tours may not operate every day during the winter months.

Road Directions
The Historic Dockyard is less than 5 miles from Junction 12 of the M27. Follow the brown Historic Waterfront signs from the M275 into Portsmouth. Car parking is available on-site, or if the car park is full an alternative car park is available within a 5 minute walk.
Public Transport Directions
Rail
London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour is only a 90 minute journey and these run frequently. There are also regular services to and from Southampton Central with links to the South West and the West country.
Bus
Many local and regional bus services stop at the Hard Interchange (adjacent to Historic Dockyard entrance). Please visit First Bus , Stagecoach or Solent Blue Line bus services for the most up to date routes and timetables.
