For lovers of live music and dance, enjoy FREE events at The Bandstand all summer long.  This natural amphitheatre looking out to sea is perfect for a lazy afternoon.  Or check out The Wedgewood Rooms for new bands on tour, established international acts and festival warm-ups.  Portsmouth's grand Guildhall is host to everything from pop idols and rock acts to symphony orchestras and comedy.  And if comedy is your thing, then head for Jongleurs at Gunwharf Quays where you can enjoy top class entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights with food, drink and the chance to dance until the early hours. 

Portsmouth is also proud to have two magnificent Victorian theatres designed by the renowned architect Frank Matcham.  So whether you want to enjoy a traditional musical or an experimental dance piece, the New Theatre Royal and the Kings Theatre both have a diverse programme of events throughout the year.  For cinema buffs choose from the latest blockbusters at Gunwharf Quays and Port Solent or art house cinema and world film at No. 6 Cinema.
