City Centre to Southsea Castle and Castle Field

Start at Portsmouth and Southsea railway station. Turn left out of the station, across Isambard Brunel Road to Guildhall Square. Pass through Guildhall Square and Guildhall Walk to Winston Chirchill Avenue. Cross Winston Churchill Avenue at the pedestiran crossing and follow the road along Lord Montgomery Way to Hampshire Terrace through to Landport Terrace. Cross next to the roundabout straight ahead to Kings Terrace through to Jubilee Terrace through to Bellevue Terrace. Turn left into Southsea Terrace, past the Whit Horse public house on the left. Bear right to follow Western Parade until the end and then turn left onto Duisburg Way. Continue down Duisburg Way, keeping the Queens hotel on your left. After the Queens Hotel this road becomes Clarence Parade, follow this until you reach the Palmerston Road/ Avenue de Caen junction. Turn right along Avenue de Caen to reach Clarence Esplanade. Here you will find Southsea Castle, D-Day museum, Castle Field, the Pyramids Centre and one of our Visitor Information Centres.
