The exhibition focuses on the artists and the artistic processes and includes over 200 original drawings, sketches and paintings. The exhibition includes newly commissioned works by modern day artists. Open daily 10am - 5pm.

By car from the M275 (Portsmouth West or Ferries exit) go straight over the first roundabout and right at the second (onto Market way) and continue straight on. Go straight on in the left hand lane into Anglesey Road and move across into the right hand lane after the traffic lights at the railway bridge. After the junction, follow the road around to the right but staying the in left hand lane. At the roundabout at the bottom of the road take a right (3rd exit) onto Museum Road, the City Museum is on your left.
Parking is available in the grounds of the museum, however if this is full there are plenty of pay & display bays outside the Museum.
The nearest train station is Portsmouth Harbour, which is around a 15 minutes walk from the Museum.
Bus number 5 and 6 from The Hard Interchange, heading towards Southsea, will stop within a 5-minute walk of the Museum.
