Portsmouth is easy to reach by car. The city has excellent links with the M27 (M275), A27 and A3M, and is well signposted on arrival.
Follow the brown and white visitor signs to help you find your way around the city.
Disabled badge holders can park free of charge in Portsmouth City Council owned car parks (except Isambard Brunel Multi Storey), as long as the disabled parking badge is clearly displayed.
If allocated Accessible Parking spaces are not available, it is possible to park free of charge in other spaces, as long as the badge is still correctly displayed.
The same rule applies to on-st
reet parking - as long as the badge is correctly displayed, parking is free of charge.
Please note: not all car parks in the city are owned by Portsmouth City Council, and therefore parking charges may apply i.e. Gunwharf Quays.
Remember to look for the 'Park Mark' sign, for safer parking.
Blue badge holders may park without restriction in these areas.
To maintain access for delivery vehicles and emergency services, it is necessary to control parking by Blue Badge holders in certain roads, mainly in the vicinity of shopping centres. This is shown by the standard kerb markings, which indicate controls on loading and unloading.
