About

One of the city's largest wedding venues, the French -Chateau inspired architecture of Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery is a stunning backdrop to your day. With its turrets and landscaped gardens, complete with maze, the museum built in 1880, is an idyllic, almost fairytale, location.

Inside the building the fabulous Esther Room, home to the museum's romance collection, which are inspired by original pieces from the 1920s and 1930s  is available for corporate small event hire and wedding ceremonies. Have the chance to say "I do" in this beautifully historic building. The room has a stunning 17th Century fireplace and is presented with furniture and paintings from the Museum’s collection.

The Education Room situated on the ground floor offers a functional, affordable space for meetings and small events. Both rooms have a maximum capacity of 60 persons. The formally laid out, south facing garden is also available to hire.

You can invite up to 56 guests, who will be able to wander round the museum's collections and beautiful grounds. The venue also has great accessibility.

Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery is located with easy access whether that be by car, public transport or foot, which makes it ideal for all guests to travel to the museum.

Free on site parking. Catering available.
