Portsmouth Summer Family Show- Cancelled

It is with regret that the Portsmouth Summer Family Show and Southsea Rocks events planned for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd August in Southsea have been cancelled. For more information please visit the Portsmouth City Council website.  

Opera in the Park- Saturday 19th July

The beautiful surroundings of Victoria Park presents a summer evening in Opera. Popera is one of the worlds best loved operas and will be presented by the directorship of Philip Blake-Jones.

The programme will feature favourite arias and ensembles from Puccini, Bizet, Verdi and Mozart. With an opportunity to join in with an operatic singalong. So please bring along a seat or blanket, and why not pack a srumptious picnic and enjoy a fantastic evening.

This is a FREE event and commences at 7:30pm

An Unforgettable Navy Extravaganza! 25th-27th July

Portsmouth has a strong and proud Naval heritage where the Naval Base is at the heart of the city and it's people. So for one weekend only you can 'MEET YOU NAVY'. Discover the past, present and future of the Royal Navy at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. With the rare opportunity to board HMS Illustrious to explore the ship and meet the crew, as well as Landing ships, Frigates, Destroyers, the Steam Pinnace which served at the Battle of Jutland 90 years ago, and other vessels of visiting navies from around the world. Witness the drills and firing displays of the Napoleonic riflemen, watch the daring gun-run competitions by HMS Nelson and HMS Sultan, see a miniature Fleet Review, listen to the Royal Marines Commandos Band, watch a maritime assault display by the Royal Marines from 40 Commando, and be amazed by the many re-enactments, demonstrations and flying displays throughout the day, including an historic flight by swordfish and seafire, with the Beating the Retreat  to close the days events. Not to be missed are the world famous Red Arrows who will take to the skies on the opening day to perform a spectacular display.
